Which target rules need agreement?
Record the target layer, colour, linetype, text, dimension, block, title block, file version and naming rules. Use the project standard where one exists.

How should exceptions be handled?
Keep a migration exception list for geometry that cannot be mapped cleanly, missing fonts, unresolved external references and source content that needs design review. Do not silently delete information to satisfy a target layer list.

- Obsolete or unverified content
What does the final QA compare?
Compare the source and target plot, geometry, text, references, title block and revision. The target standard does not prove the design itself is correct.

What else should the bid team know?
Does PDF to DWG conversion prove the drawing is accurate?
No. Geometry, text, scale, layers, revisions and design intent need human comparison against the approved source.
Can a raster scan become editable CAD geometry automatically?
No. A raster image is a redraw reference. The resulting geometry must be recreated and checked.
Who approves a converted drawing for construction?
The responsible project engineer and document control team approve the design and issue status. A conversion service does not provide engineering sign-off.
